Soviet fashion of the ~1960s, 1970s and 1980s~
In April 1944, two months after the ending of the Leningrad Blockade (also known as The Siege of Leningrad), a Soviet Union House of Clothes Models was opened on Nevsky Prospekt. There, many fashion designers created patterns and pilot samples of clothing, including accessories for Soviet garment factories. Collections of the Model House were recognised not only in the Soviet Union, but also abroad. In 2000, the building was returned to its historical name - "Mertens' Fashion House."
Here you can see many examples of clothes models such as coats and evening dresses, spring combined suits from woolen fabrics, suit of tweed fabric with an elongated skirt and a short jacket to the waist, youth kits with a hat-boat,elegant ensemble consisting of dress and jacket, light dresses made of nylon with a fashionable pattern, supplemented with a light scarf made of chiffon, sundresses and summer outfits, dresses pf red corduroy, elongated jackets made of silk, and "Golf"trousers.
